If South Beach and Las Vegas had a baby, it would look a lot like Baha Mar. The resort complex is colorful, super glam, and located on a pristine beach. I seriously could not love it more!

Baha Mar consists of three hotels: Grand Hyatt, SLS, and Rosewood, all of which are family-friendly. Grand Hyatt and SLS share exchange privileges. Guests of Rosewood have access to Grand Hyatt and SLS’ amenities.

For the tail end of our Nassau visit, we stayed at the Grand Hyatt, which is the main hub. As part of my service, I help you decide which of the three resorts is right for you.
Two Queen Ocean View Balcony
Our room featured a subtle, Caribbean theme. Everything was streamlined, calm, and aesthetically pleasing. And the view was fantastic!
Friends, always spring for a room with a balcony.

The Pools
There are multiple pools on property, but our favorites are definitely Dean’s Blue Hole featuring waterfalls and rock walls for diving, and The Grotto which offers a peek at the wildlife inhabiting The Sanctuary.

Dining
For a short visit, we certainly ate around the resort. Everything was incredibly delicious!
Breakfast was a combination of Starbucks and Cafe Madeleine, which serves French pastries.

Our favorite dinners were The Swimming Pig, which has a pub atmosphere…

…and Marcus at Baha Mar, which is a fish + chop house.

Our lunches were from food trucks on the beach or one of the casual eateries at Baha Bay at Baha Mar. More on the waterpark in another post!

Entertainment
Where to begin? There are a plethora of activities for kids 3-12. This was the weekly schedule when we visited.

We’re past the kids’ club stage, but we did get a chance to check out Flamingo Cay, and I visited the Aviary. As previously mentioned, we were able to get up close and personal with the animals in The Sanctuary via The Grotto. But I imagine a traditional visit would be equally splendid.

The casino was a hive of activity 24/7. There is an upscale shopping mall with internationally recognized names like Tiffany, Cartier, and Rolex. In the evenings, the jazz bar was a lovely place to sit and people watch.

Time literally flew by!
Things to know:
- Guests are encouraged to book as many experiences as possible in the app.
- Dining on property is delicious and very expensive. It is worth going into town and enjoying a meal or two there.
- Even though the resort had a high occupancy, the layout is such that guests aren’t bottlenecked in one area.
