DIY Jack Skellington Pumpkin

On the heels of our Fall Break visit to Walt Disney World, I’m sharing the easiest DIY Jack Skellington pumpkin ever. Here’s how to achieve the same look.

  • Pumpkin (I wish I had a before picture of the pumpkin I thrifted. It was a hodgepodge of fall-colored leaves.)
  • Pencil
  • Paints (white, black, brown, gold; chalk paint covers best)
  • Paint brushes

Paint the pumpkin white and the stem brown with gold highlights.

Trace Jack’s face with a pencil.

Paint the details with a flat black paint.

Voila! Couldn’t be easier.

And the best part, as The Nightmare Before Christmas is both a Halloween and Christmas movie (prove me wrong), this can stay up from October – December. Score!

If you try this yourself, please tag me on social media using #famtravNBC or email a picture to I’d love to see your creations!

As an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner and lover of all things Disney, I would be honored for the opportunity to plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Email to learn more.
