Live Well at Live Aqua Punta Cana

Earlier this month, work bestie T and I retreated to Live Aqua Punta Cana for a relaxing girls’ getaway. Live Aqua is an adults-only, all-inclusive brand with resorts in Cancun and Punta Cana. It’s a favorite to recommend to clients looking for an elevated vacation experience at an affordable price point. For this trip, this resort checked all of our boxes.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by our Butler and whisked away to the Aqua Club for a private check-in, complete with a welcome drink. Private transfers and lounge access are the only way to begin a vacation IMHO. It sets the tone for the rest of the stay: relaxed, easy, and a little indulgent right from the start.

Based on the services provided above, as well as preferred room locations, I highly recommend staying Aqua Club.

While the design and decor of the rooms are similar across categories, my favorite room at this resort is the Viento Suite Ocean Front. You get stunning ocean views, an outdoor jacuzzi, and a rooftop relaxation area with a Balinese bed. It’s spacious, private, and feels like a true upgrade. And of course, your Butler will stock your minibar and fridge with all your favorites. I mean… who wouldn’t want to stay here?

This is the room category I’d recommend for honeymooners, anniversary trips, or anyone celebrating something special.

Live Aqua’s vibe is super chill. This isn’t a party resort, and that’s exactly the appeal. It’s ideal for:

• Destination weddings
• Honeymooners and anniversary couples
• Girlfriend getaways that want relaxation, not chaos
• Corporate groups where participants can bring their plus ones

There are daily activities like pool Zumba, bingo, dance lessons, and even a Saturday foam party at the main pool. That said, pools close around 6:00 pm, and evening entertainment – think decades shows, Michael Jackson, and neon party – typically wraps by 11:00 pm. If you’re traveling with a group, the resort can also host customized events based on your interests, which is a nice perk.

Spa lovers, Live Aqua designed Feel Harmony Spa with you in mind. It is a sanctuary to rejuvenate your spirit. There is a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, and a full suite of services.

I love the layout of this property. There are multiple quiet pools, with a large main pool with swim-up bar. The beach is swimmable, and even in December, the water temperature was pleasant. While there is a small fee for Bali beds, the palapas are first come, first serve.

The food was consistently good (better than average for an all-inclusive), and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Everything felt intentional and well managed.

I’m not a big buffet person, so I can’t really speak to that. Most mornings, I ordered breakfast from the exclusive Aqua Club menu, and for lunch and dinner we made it a point to try as many of the restaurants as possible – you know, for research. 😉

Everything we had was genuinely delicious, but the standout for me was Miraflores Cevichería. It’s a casual, beachfront spot that specializes in ceviche, and I could not get enough. If you’re a ceviche lover, this place alone is worth the visit.

Live Aqua Punta Cana is a solid option for travelers who want adults-only, calm and comfortable, and elevated without being out of reach.
