Over the holiday break, my mini me and I spent a long weekend at Walt Disney World to kickstart the holiday cheer. It was magical! I’ll probably post about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party later this year when 2025 ticket sales open, but for now, let’s focus on the benefits of staying on Disney property.

Complimentary Disney transportation is another perk. From friendship boats and buses, to the monorail and Skyliner, there are efficient ways to get you where you need to be. Moreover, Disney transportation gets you closest to the park entrances, which is both convenient and a time saver.

Lightning Lanes

As a Disney resort guest, you can make your Lightning Lane purchases and selections 7 days prior to your visit. For offsite guests, it’s 3 days prior. This early access can make a big difference in your park experience, allowing you to plan your days more efficiently and enjoy more of what Disney has to offer.

Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours

All Disney resort guests receive early entry admission into the parks. This is typically 30 minutes prior to official opening time. Further, Deluxe resort guests receive extended evening hours for select parks on select nights. Imagine enjoying your favorite attractions with significantly shorter wait times, and soaking up those peaceful early mornings and magical evening hours.

Fully Utilize MagicBand+

Your MagicBand+ is a decorative accessory powerhouse! It stores your reservation and credit card information and can be scanned to enter the parks, unlock your resort room, and make purchases. It even interacts with select attractions, 50th Anniversary character collection, and select nighttime spectaculars.

Complimentary Payment Plans

Walt Disney World offers one of the most flexible payment terms in the industry. Secure your package with just a $200 deposit, with the final payment due 30 days prior to travel. You could literally book a year in advance and make monthly payments. Couldn’t be easier! There is not a cruise line or all-inclusive resort that beats this.
