Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Walt Disney World’s flagship property is everything it’s name implies, grand. We had the privilege of calling the Grand Floridian home during our Spring Break visit. The only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa near Magic Kingdom Park is a charming, Victorian-style resort, offering deluxe accommodations and amenities. From the moment you enter the resort, prepare to be wowed by immaculate attention to detail, exceptional service, and beauty as far as the eye can behold

We stayed in a newly renovated Resort View Room with garden views overlooking the Courtyard Pool. These rooms have the most adorable Mary Poppins touches.

It would mean so much to me if you’d watch my video walkthrough, give it a like, and subscribe to my channel, which I’m working diligently to grow.

For those of you who enjoy still photos.

Did you notice the following? Practically perfect in every way! I’ll admit, it took me a while to notice the solo penguin on the chandelier.

There is always something exciting going on in the Grand Floridian lobby. During this visit, the Easter Eggs were on display. They were so very intricate. It was difficult to pick a favorite.

And speaking of things going on, here’s a look at the resort activities the week of March 10th. Make sure to incorporate a non-park day to enjoy the amenities at your resort!

And if you’re lucky, you can watch Movies Under the Stars right from your balcony. Ha!

The pools areas are equally charming. I just adore the Alice in Wonderland themed splash pad.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has a number of Quick Service and Table Service restaurants, lounges, and fine dining experiences. Among these are:

  • Victoria & Albert’s which showcases modern American cuisine crafted with exquisite ingredients from around the world
  • Cítricos that features Florida cuisine with a Mediterranean influence in a stylist setting themed to Mary Poppins
  • Narcoossee’s with elegant coastal offerings from land and sea at a waterfront hideaway

The resort is also home to reimagined Character Dining experience 1900 Park Fare featuring Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Princess Tiana which just reopened yesterday!!

Room Service is also an option, which is a wonderful convenience for a resort day, or a romantic getaway. I can’t imagine anything dreamier!

Staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian makes getting to and from Magic Kingdom Park especially easy with the monorail, friendship boats, and scenic walking path. EPCOT is also accessible via the monorail, with bus service (or Minnie Van service) to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

As the teens get older and are less interested in posed photos, candid shots have to do. Sigh! Here we are walking back after a day in the parks. My daughter is hauling a life-size teddy bear which is a lot heavier than it looks.

There is also a walking path to Disney’s Polynesian Resort, and I highly recommend checking out the dining options there.

We absolutely enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to stay here again!
