Disney VIP Tours

There are several ways to elevate a Walt Disney World vacation. In my opinion the best way is by booking a Disney VIP Tour and having a personal guide help you expertly navigate the parks, and customize an itinerary based on your interests.

You’ve seen these Cast Members before I’m sure, easily identified by their plaid vests. They are like your own personal Fairy Godmother / Godfather confidently leading groups up to 10 to the front of the lines of popular attractions. Or to reserved areas for premium parade viewing. This post will cover everything you need to know about this magical service.

Last month, our group had the pleasure of being led by Nicole, who we enjoyed immensely. We started the day in EPCOT where we had front of the line access to popular attractions like Frozen, and Guardians of the Galaxy.

She even surprised us with treats throughout the day.

As we moved through each area, she was a wealth of information sharing tidbits about park history, attractions, and highlighting points of interest.

We split the day between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. When it was time to transfer, she whisked us away backstage – where pictures are strictly forbidden – to a private car transfer. We left EPCOT though one backstage access door then entered Magic Kingdom through another, and landed right on Main Street. It was seamless. I certainly felt like a VIP. And the entire process took maybe 10 minutes!

Over in Magic Kingdom, we enjoyed our favorite attractions, hugged a few characters, and had a quick service lunch. While a lunch break is essential during an hours long tour, I would recommend saving the character dining experiences and table service reservations for another time, reserving your tour time for shows, attractions, and character meets.

It was particularly interesting to learn that while some attractions utilize the Lightning Lane line for VIP Tours, others let you use backdoors. I won’t give too much away, but we went on Haunted Mansion for this very reason. I’ll leave this clue below.

Our VIP Tour ended with the Festival of Fantasy Parade. We were led to a reserved parade viewing area located on the upper level of the train station. So our views were front and center and could not be beat! Popcorn and bottled water was available for our convenience.

Nicole gifted each of us with a commemorative VIP pin. As an avid pin collector I couldn’t wait to add this to my forever pin collection.

So how much does a Disney VIP Tour cost? The price ranges from $450 – $900/hour, depending on the season. Holiday weeks like Thanksgiving and Christmas will cost more than off peak times like mid January or early September. Valid park admission is required, and you need to book a minimum of seven hours. The tours can accommodate up to 10 people.

Is a Disney VIP Tour worth it? Without a doubt! If you enjoy personalized attention with your every need catered to, minimum wait times, and superior service, this is the way to go. This would be perfect to split on a adult-only trip, or between two to three families traveling together. If you’re eager to know more, please reach out to me.

ChEARs to the perfect day!
